Necromunda portrays the battle for survival in a nightmare undercity of the future. It is a skirmish wargame set in the Warhammer 40k universe.
Players control rival gangs of fighters who battle it out for supremacy in a three-dimensional landscape of ruined buildings laid out on a tabletop. Games are quick but challenging.
Necromunda is an industrial planet of vast factories consisting of layer upon layer; known as the Hive. The game itself is set in the dark and desolate underworld; known as the Underhive. The Underhive is the collective name for those areas which once have long since fallen into disrepair. The cities and factories here are decrepit and dangerous. The Underhive contains all manner of treasure to fight over; including precious metals and ancient technological devices. |

Lurking amongst the ruins and passageways are mutated creatures, renegades, killers and opportunists. A game can last as little as 20 minutes, so you try many different scenarios in the one evening. There are campaign rules so your new recruit can rise through the ranks to perhaps lead his or her own gang. The rules are published by Games Workshop. They are based on Warhammer 40k, but at a skirmish level. Necromunda is a trademark of Games Workshop. |
