SUMMARY:Victoriarts Painting Competition
DESCRIPTION:Victorius is partnering with Melbourne’s Figure Painter Collective to host our first painting competition at Victorius ’25. VictoriARTs‘ focus is on celebrating the modelling and painting aspect of our hobby.  So whether this is your first event or a veteran competitor\, VictoriARTs is your opportunity to demonstrate your creativity\, artistry and technical skills. \n\n\n\n\n\nCATEGORIES\n\n\n\nVictoriARTs has 3 categories allowing you to showcase your talents across the miniatures or models you like best. \n\n\n\n\nShow figureCategory is open to painted versions of the show figure only.The show figure will be available in Melbourne from early June.\n\n\n\nSmall figure – 54mm and belowEntries should be a single figure on either a gaming or display base. All figure types/genres accepted\, with nominal scale being 54mm and below. (eg: Victrix\, Warhammer\, Infinity\, Maschinen Kreiger suits)\n\n\n\nLarge figure – 54mm and aboveAny larger entries. This category encompasses warmachines from various gaming universes\, larger scale display figures and busts\, military vehicles such as armour\, aircraft and ships\, and mecha suits such as Gundam. Dioramas & vignettes should also be entered into this category.\n\n\n\n\nNB – the judging/submissions panel reserve the right to move an entry to a more appropriate category without consultation. \n\n\n\n\n\nJUDGING\n\n\n\nOpen system judging focuses on the overall quality of entries and where they sit in relation to other entries in the competition. Rather than awarding a first\, second & third place\, the open system allows for multiple entrants to place in the same category. For example\, if 20 entries are received and 12 of them meet the gold standard\, then all 12 receive a gold award. \n\n\n\nThere will also be a best in category award for the overall winner in each. Note there is only one ‘best’ award per category.  \n\n\n\nAll judging is final and no discussions will be entered into. Feedback may be available if time permits.

SUMMARY:Battletech: Operation Demon Star
DESCRIPTION:Operation Demon Star is our first ever BattleTech Total Warfare narrative event set during the opening waves of the fourth succession war. These scenarios tell the story of the planet Algol\, the “Demon Star”\, as invading forces allied to the F-C alliance squared off against the forces aligned to the Kapteyn Accords. \n\n\n\nFitting to the timeline\, this event requires only the rules found in the Battletech Box Set using introductory technology ‘mechs only. This narrative event format is intended for both new players and veterans alike. Players are split into two teams on the day based on their allegiance to compete for the conquest of the planet. \n\n\n\nWill you be a house loyalist or a mercenary working for the highest bidder? \n\n\n\nWhile history says the planet will fall\, the question remains how fast? Can your forces make a difference? As the invader of the F-C alliance can you take this world cleanly and decisively\, or as the defenders can you make each gain slow and painful to aid the forces of the Kapteyn Alliance and slow Algol’s capture in wave one of the fourth succession war. \n\n\n\nWe hope to see you on the day. \n\n\n\nEvent Pack Here (draft)

Chat to members of local clubs and let them know you want to try out the game and roll some dice. \n\n\n\nThe hobby zone is their to sit down put a brush in your hand and paint a miniature and base it up.  \n\n\n\nCheck out the model displays and the skill of local artists who painting miniatures is their passion. \n\n\n\n\n\nDownstairs\n\n\n\nCheck out the traders hall.  This is the place to go to find a wide range of miniatures\, games\, terrain and other gaming materials.  Everyone running a stall is a fantastic source of information about the hobby and is great to chat to. \n\n\n\nUpstairs\n\n\n\nThis where we are holding our tournaments and the Bring and Buy.  Grab the show map and follow the signs. \n\n\n\n\n\nOutside\n\n\n\nAside from registration\, this is where we have all the re-enactment groups.  Grab a photo\, take the opportunity to try out their activities and find out more about what they do. \n\n\n\nThis is also where we have food and coffee for you to keep your energy up. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTournaments at Victorius’26\n\n\n\n\nMiddle-Earth Strategy Battle Game\n\n\n\nA 500 point 3-game beginner friendly Middle-Earth Strategy Battle Game tournament.  Armies may not exceed 500pts can must be built using the army lists and profiles in the current publications: The Armies of Lord of the Rings and The Armies of The Hobbit.  Army lists and profiles from The Armies of Middle-Earth and Legacies of Middle-Earth. \n\n\n\nDownload the Player Pack (TBC) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBolt Action\n\n\n\nBolt Action at Victorius is beginner friendly event\, where players are encouraged to either try the game for the first time\, or try a list/army which is new to them. \n\n\n\nTechnical Details \n\n\n\nThere will be three games played in an escalation style (see player pack). The three games will be played at a maximum of 450 points\, 650 points & 850 points. \n\n\n\nDownload the Player Pack (TBC) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSneaky V Bloodbowl Sevens\n\n\n\nThe delightful mayhem of the Sneaky V is coming to Victorius 2026!  With 4 games offocused on rolling dice and playing nice. Each round will run for 1 hour and 15 minutes \, with breaks between to give players the opportunity to have lunch and enjoy the rest of what Victorius has to offer. If you have not played 7’s before it is a fast spaced and smaller variant of the larger 11’s game which uses less models and a smaller pitch. \n\n\n\nFor more details on the schedule\, list building rules\, scoring and more\, Download the Player Pack (TBC) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMarvel Crisis Protocol\n\n\n\nThis tournament is focused on growing the MCP community and is new player friendly. \n\n\n\nBitter Rivals uses all the challenger rules as guided by atomic mass games and follows the “standard” timelines for roster construction. \n\n\n\n3 round Swiss format with tie breakers determined on strength of schedule  \n\n\n\nProxy miniatures allowed as long as they clearly represent the model.  \n\n\n\nDownload the Player Pack (TBC) \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nBattletech Alpha Strike\n\n\n\nBattletech Alpha Strike at Victorius is a fast-play high action experience. The tournament is suitable for beginners and veterans alike and we have included a long lunch break so you have time to walk around the event and join in on the fun.
