The tournament caters for new and experienced players and expects everyone to respect your opponent. When building your warband you may split 1 point in 2 e.g. swap 2 heath guard figures for 4 warriors or 6 Levy (or visa versa). \n\n\n\nFirst round match ups will be at random with rounds 2-3 based on Swiss chess. The tournament will see you playing in a dense battlefield through three narrative scenarios. Play against fellow alpha strike enthusiasts\, make some new friends\, show us your cool robots and use your force to its fullest.  \n\n\n\nThe three scenarios are played in order on the day so you can tailor your force for maximum fun and effect. These three scenarios tell the story of the chaos surrounding multiple forces arriving at the planet Matteo in the Hinterlands region in 3151. The system has only recently been revealed on the maps after the Jade Falcon Occupation Zone was left empty in their push to Terra. In the first scenario you need to regroup your forces after your orbital drop goes awry. In the second scenario you will race to recover scattered supplies from other forces whose entry was even less orderly than your own. DESCRIPTION:Every year the (Cold Steel rules) Napoleonic gamers in the club hold a multi-day event recreating one of the big battles or campaigns in Europe. \n\n\n\nHeld over the first full weekend in January\, the 2025 event will feature a series of linked battles to determine the future of France. \n\n\n\nIf you are interested in Napoleonic wargaming contact John Quinn (Quinny –  johnmq363@gmail.com) for information regarding the Cold Steel rules and joining the CS group of players. \n\n\n\nVisitors are welcome and we would be happy to explain the rules and answer questions regarding ‘our way’ of wargaming the French Revolution and Napoleonic periods. \n\n\n\nWe will be at the RSL from early morning with a 10:00 start and an 18:00 (latest) finish of play. Usually we stop for lunch (max 90 minutes) around 13:00.

DESCRIPTION:Experience giant robot action through the fast-play Battletech wargame Alpha Strike. The tournament is suitable to beginners and veterans alike and our focus remains on building the alpha strike community. If you need any tips with building forces check out the NWA website blog or come to one of our weekly gaming days for a friendly game. \n\n\n\n\nThe tournament will see you playing in a dense battlefield through four narrative scenarios. The four scenarios are played in order on the day so you can tailor your force for maximum fun and effect. Play against fellow alpha strike enthusiasts\, make some new friends\, show us your cool robots and use your force to its fullest.  \n\n\n\nThe scenarios are set in the year 3152\, operatives on the planet have identified signs of several caches left behind\, possibly by the former Jade Falcon science caste. In the first scenario you need to download the location of a vault while under enemy fire. The second scenario is a night encounter where your HQ comes under threat\, can you keep your information safe or steal your opponents? In the third scenario you need to access vulnerable communications towers\, do you choose to protect the facilities or just burn it all down. SUMMARY:Victorian Short Course ADLG Championship
DESCRIPTION:The Victorian Short Course L’Art de la Guerre Championship is the first run by NWA in 2025. It will use 15mm scale 100pt armies and is focused on multiple fast fun games in one day. The tournament will consist of four rounds\, each of up to one hour and fifteen minutes in length and a minimum of five turns. Player pairings for the first round will be determined randomly\, followed in subsequent rounds by the Swiss chess system. Scoring will be as per the ADLG Technical Board system. At the end of each round players will be required to submit a Deployment Sheet\, which will be provided to each of them every round. Further information and downloads can be obtained from the Art de la Guerre webpage. \n\n\n\nThe tournament will be run as a single pool of players\, with a dark age theme. Armies can be chosen from that group of lists in the ADLG rulebook. If a participant would like to use another army from outside that list which substantially fought with in the dark age period (500 A.D. to 1050 A.D.) they make a request for another option via email to the organiser. \n\n\n\nPlease use this xls sheet on the ADLG website\, using the reduced format tab to create and submit your army list no later than 6 pm Friday 16th May.

SUMMARY:Bolt Action Victorius '25
DESCRIPTION:After a successful last hurrah to Version 2 in 2024\, Victorious will once again be hosting a Bolt Action Tournament in 2025. \n\n\n\nThe intention of this event is for it to be a fun\, beginner friendly event\, where players are encouraged to either try the game for the first time\, or try a list/army which is new to them. \n\n\n\nTechnical Details \n\n\n\nThere will be three games played in an escalation style (see player pack).
