Epic: Armageddon is Games Workshop’s game of warfare in the 41st millennium played in 6mm scale. This means that the height of a human figure (Space Marine or Imperial Guardsman) is 6mm, which is a scale of 1:300.
IntroductionThe small scale of the miniatures enables a much bigger game to be played than is usual with the 28mm Warhammer 40K game. An average 1,500 to 2,000 point 40K army would only make upone formation within an Epic army, whereas most Epic armies will have between four and ten such formations. Long range artillery such as Whirlwinds and Basilisks have a more realistic part in the game. The minimum range of Basilisks is not the length of the table. The extra depth that is gained on the table allows reserves and deeper formations. This allowstactics of modern warfare to be applied, giving a more realistic feel to the battle. |
