Fantasy wargaming meets American football in a fun filled game of random events, dirty tricks and misfortune. Two teams line up against each other on a specially marked board representing the field of play.
The main aim is not to hospitalise as many of the opposing team as possible, although this is a regular event. The aim is to score touchdowns by carrying the ball into the “end zone” of the opponent.
Players act as team managers over the season as their creatures gain experience, lose players to injury and play in the final series at the business end of the season.
Blood Bowl is set in the Warhammer Fantasy universe.
Teams include humans, chaos, undead, orcs, skaven, wood elves, dark elves, high elves, dwarves, halflings and chaos dwarves.
Figures used are 28mm.
The rules are published by Games Workshop.
