It was a fast moving encounter as the horsemen were the focus of the battle, each trying to outflank the other and gain the advantage at this club meeting on a Saturday afternoon at Croydon.

Easterlings and the Tin Cans

The Easterlings were resplendant in their red livery and brass embossed shields. They had the aid of the brightly coloured Haradrim Raiders on horseback. Although only light cavalry, they gave some additional protection against the heavily armoured Knights of Gondor by threatening their flanks.

The Knights of Gondor were known as "mobile tin cans" by their foes. At times the special Easterling pikes made very handy can openers.
